We had another great class today! I love meeting you guys and hearing your excitement build as you realize how simple it can be to save money!
Just a couple of things that i have been hearing that I want to make you all aware of.
Don't think that these are "set in stone", these are experiences that you guys have had with some
of the stuff covered in class. It could be employees not knowing their policy or it could be legitimate policy changes.
Two of you have had Publix employees tell you they cannot "stack" target coupons with manufacturer coupons. I have not experienced this and was actually in the store last night and used both types on an item with no trouble.
The only reason I mention this, is I don't want you guys to get frustrated if you hit setbacks.
Keep trying to "stack" Target coupons because it could just be an employee that misunderstood some instructions. The next employee may take them.
Please keep me updated with your experiences...good and bad.
I see a couple of you in the store shopping and it's really fun to see you saving!

Hey! Funny, I went to Publix today just to get Ritz. I had 1 manuf. coupon and 1 target. She said the register wouldn't take the target. I asked her if they stopped taking Target coupons and she said no, it's just not taking it. I know I should have gone to the service desk with it and gotten my box of crackers for 7 cents but instead walked out mad paying 1.07! I was nice though :)
Next time, just ask her to see if there is a manager that can help her with it...all they have to do is manually take the coupon and maybe flick a key. Target coupons will not scan in publix machines, they have to be manually entered anyway.
Next time, you do whatever it takes to get your 7 cent Ritz! LOL! (that's an awesome buy!! I can't believe I missed that one!)
i did it today on the kraft dressing and she didnt say anything about the register not scanning it she actually said "you cant stack". as this was my first experience with this type of shopping i said "uhh ok" and just took the target coupon back. now i know :)
